About the Client

Kanine Records is a Brooklyn-based independent record label with a strong identity in the indie rock and dream pop space. They’ve released critically acclaimed music by artists including Braids, Wild Nothing, and Beach Fossils — the kind of label that serious music fans know by name and trust on reputation alone.

The Challenge

A label with Kanine’s reputation needs a site that feels as curated as its catalog. Music fans, press, and distributors all need to be able to find what they’re looking for — artist pages, release info, news — without the site feeling like a warehouse. The aesthetic had to match the music.

What We Built

A clean label site organized around the roster and the releases, with a visual sensibility that matched the indie aesthetic without being precious about it. Artist pages, release catalog, and news — all structured to be easy to navigate and easy to update as new music comes in.

The Result

A site that does justice to Kanine’s catalog — and gives the label a home online that feels as considered as the music they put out.
